So my husband is working up in here in Orland. We're from Fort Wayne. He had the breakfast sandwich from here and couldn't quit talking about it.
It wasn't too busy when we got here. I had an omelet. Unfortunately it wasn't the the one I ordered. I got someone else's. But it was still good. Like in another review wait staff is a lil hit and miss. But still nice. Don't know if it was worth the hour long though. -

We stopped in for breakfast. I had the breakfast sandwich. Was told the sausage patty is from next doors butcher (Mr Bratz). The sausage patty was savory and great seasoning. The pretzel bun they used was soft and had a great flavor. The waitress was very nice and respectful. Our overall experience was great.

When walking in, there is no place to stand or a sign that says seat yourself. It was very busy when we walked in and it was difficult to find someone to ask. Once we learned seat yourself, we found a clean booth. We sat down and waited for someone to approach. We both had time to look around and go to the restroom. The decor is homey. We finally had a nice girl help us. I ordered a pork tenderloin sandwich and subbed onion rings. My husband ordered the fish dinner. His dinner came with the salad bar. Plain iceberg lettuce was the only lettuce offering. There were plenty of salad toppings and dressings. A variety of salads (pea, seafood, macaroni) were on the bar. Our meals came quickly. The tenderloin was tasty but a little overcooked. The onion rings were not very tasty, but standard diner fare. The fish was not spectacular at all. The side of mushrooms were canned and not fresh. In all, it was a decent meal, but not something I would seek out

Very disappointed. Called on Saturday. Wasn't told they were low on chicken. Drove 65 miles expecting the broasted chicken. There at 1. Told no chicken. Really. Spoiled r Valentine's day lunch. Won't come back.

Hmmmm. Don't know what to say about this. The service is like rolling the dice. Sometimes you hit it big and they will return after you order and sometimes you won't. Food is okay. Fish isn't bad. If they can control the flies so it isn't like a scene from the amityville horror that would be helpful. At least it gives the customers to swat at until your order arrives. Everybody says go to the draft horse across the street - but there is just something about this little greasy spoon. The home fries are incredible.
